People do “accidental deletion” all the time. And because the accidentally deleted files will be kept in the “Trash” folder until you really delete it, you can drag the files you still want to keep back to their original folder. But doing that manually over and over again can be annoying. Now in Snow Leopard, you can right click (or Control + Click) on the poor files, choose “Put Back”, and  file/folder will be recovered in original place. tags: trash

One of the easiest way to secure your computer from the prying co-worker’s eyes is to set a screensaver password. Apple today released a series of security updates targeting users of Mac OS X Snow Leopard and Leopard. According to the support document for the release, the updates address a single vulnerability related to handling of embedded fonts by Apple Type Services. The Apple iPad is here, and if ever there was a contentious gadget, this is it. The iPad itself takes the design concept of a slate and boils it down to pretty much the bare minimum. So when you need to download a large file and don’t want to have to worry about whether or not Safari or Firefox continues to run with out interruption, use Terminal and curl (wget replacement). Note: wget is not exists in Leopard,  you should set up an alias for wget to curl -O which does exactly the same thing: echo 'alias wget="curl -O"' >> ~/.bash_profile Your are done.
