Who started MacTips?
My name is Chirill Trescencov. I’m a 30 year old Web Programmer.
After suffering under Windows for the greater part of my life, I wanted to do web development on a unix-based machine. Years of system administration experience made me fall in love with Linux.
That’s when I considered a Mac for the first time. I started MyMacOSX after realizing how many gems were hidden in OS X and how other people could benefit from my exploration of OS X.
What’s the future of MyMacOS X?
My vision for the future of MyMacOSX is a community that runs the site. This includes creating content, deciding which content goes on the site and bringing new ideas forward.
The Mac community is a passionate group of users that knows way more about OS X than I ever could. My hope is to create a framework for something truly amazing to happen: Mac users helping other Mac users get to know their computers.
