Apple today released iTunes 9.1 via Software Update and the company’s iTunes download page. The update brings several enhancements such as support for iPad syncing including eBook content and greater customizability of Genius Mixes.

iTunes 9.1 comes with several new features and improvements, including:

- Sync with iPad to enjoy your favorite music, movies, TV shows, books and more on the go

- Organize and sync books you’ve downloaded from iBooks on iPad or added to your iTunes library

- Rename, rearrange, or remove Genius Mixes

Apple’s iPad is scheduled to launch in the U.S. this Saturday, with the iBooks application and iBookstore expected to go live there at approximately the same time.

iPhoto 8.1.2 update

This update addresses minor issues in the area of import and syncing to iPhone, iPod or Apple TV.

The update is recommended for all users of iPhoto ’09.

If you are see something like “Your MobileMe account information is not correct. The provided login or password is not valid.”, a problem with old password in Keychain Access.

How to fix it:

1. Open “Keychain Access” and  search for “publish.me.com”, open it
2. Click “Show password” and change your password from old to new one.  Probably recently changed it.
3. Save changes.
4. Now go back to iPhoto and try update  MobileMe Gallery

P.S. Other way is  deleting publish.me.com from Keychain Access and then signing out and then back in to MobileMe in System Preferences.

Note:
This doesn’t really “fix” it but it has been a decent work around until Apple provides a fix. It wouldn’t hurt to let them know about the problem (select “Provide iPhoto Feedback” from the iPhoto menu).

iPhoto 09 Faces

When browsing a specific person in Faces, at the bottom of the window it makes suggestions of other faces that may be the same person. After clicking the Confirm Name button,  you’ll be able to:

• confirm (click or drag-select)
• deny (Option-click or Option-drag-select)
• name (Control-click to see the pop-up menu)

the face, you can also remove it.

Instead of clicking Confirm Name,

• select the image thumbnail with the unwanted face
• press the Space Bar to view the full image
• click the Name button that appears in the button bar at the bottom.

You can then remove the unwanted face, and when you click Done, you’ll be taken back to the Faces view.
